Olivia Jackson

Olivia Jackson is a well-known stunt performer and actress. She has appeared in movies such as Resident Evil: the Final Chapter, Mad Max: Fury Road, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and more. Following an accident in Resident Evil, Jackson lost her arm and had her thumb amputated. The striking blonde stunt-woman is known not only for her beauty, but also her incredible drive and performance.

Bethany Hamilton

Bethany Hamilton suffered the loss of her arm after a shark attack. The Hawaiian surfer lost her arm at age 13 while on a morning surf in Kauai. Hamilton returned to surfing just one month after the attack. She published Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board in 2004, which inspired the documentary Heart of a Soul Surfer in 2007 and the feature film, Soul Surfer in 2011.

Amy Purdy

Amy Purdy is an actress, para snowboarder, model, author and native of Las Vegas, Nevada. Her snowboarding career began at 15. Purdy had both of her legs amputated below the knee at age 19 as the result of bacterial meningitis. She has gone on to become a two-time Paralympian and three-time Paralympic medalist.

Bonnie St. John

Bonnie St. John is a world-renowned ski racer and was the first African-American medalist in the Winter Paralympic ski racing competition. Raised in San Diego, California, St. John had her right leg amputated below the knee at age 5 as a result of pre-femoral focal disorder. Besides racking up medals, St. John has gone out to become an accomplished businesswoman, scholar, speaker and mother.

Tammy Duckworth

Politician Tammy Duckworth has been the United States Representative for Illinois’s 8th congressional district since 2013. A veteran, Duckworth lost both her legs and damaged her right arm during combat in Iraq. Duckworth is the first Asian American woman to be elected to Congress in Illinois, the first disabled woman to be elected to Congress, and the first female double amputee Senator!
